Urban Prairie Waldorf School

Preparing your child for the test that matters most.  Life.

Urban Prairie Waldorf School is an independent, Waldorf elementary school located in the city of Chicago. We draw on a 90-year-old teaching tradition that engages the “whole child” – intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically – in time with the natural developmental stages of childhood. We are focused not simply on the college your child will attend, but rather the person your child will become: curious, compassionate, self-reliant. With a solid moral foundation and critical-thinking skills, our graduates will be ready to excel academically and socially in the environment of their choosing.

The journey through the Waldorf grades will transform your child.  We invite you to take the first step:
