Aftercare Program
Urban Prairie Waldorf School offers a daily aftercare program from 3-6pm to address the needs of our working families. The program is staffed by members of our school faculty: handwork instructor Shabath Leidy-Briggs, music instructor Kim Vachon, and movement instructor Rob Welcher. The program includes structured activities, free play time (outdoor when appropriate), and homework help as applicable.
In order to properly develop a regular rhythm and to prepare enough supervision and materials for the students, advance registration is helpful. You may avoid the drop-in fee and higher rate by registering for the program in advance. Any child not picked up with in 15 minutes of 2:45 dismissal time will be entered into the aftercare program, beginning promptly at 3:00 p.m. Please pack an extra snack for your child if he/she plans to attend aftercare.
Hourly Rates
| Contract: | $8/hour – Sign up and pay ahead for the days and times you will regularly require. |
| Same Day: | $10/hour – Notify us before 10:30 a.m. the same day, preferably via a note to your class teacher, or a phone call to the school office. |
| No prior arrangement or no arrangement: | $12/hour – Notify us after 10:30 a.m. the same day |
The program is billed in half-hour increments: At 4:40 p.m., you will charged for the half-hour (from 4:30-5:00pm).
No aftercare dates:
There will be no aftercare on the following dates. Please make arrangements for your child´s pick-up.
- Sept 6, 2011 (first day of school)
- November 23rd, 2011 (early dismissal before Thanksgiving break)
- Dec 16th, 2011 (last day of school prior to winter break)
- June 8, 2012 (last day of school)
