2016-17 Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is an opportunity for you to directly affect the lives of our students.

Urban Prairie strives to educate the whole child.  This means that not only are we teaching core subjects, but we also place great importance on social-emotional learning and addressing behavioral issues in a way that leads to growth and understanding.

Three Streams of Student Support

Over the past six months, the faculty has worked out a structure called the “Three Streams of Student Support” to address learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. It is strongly influenced by the ideas of restorative justice and social inclusion.  They are committed to taking up this work, and we are ready to put their plan into action, but we need your help.

This program has requirements that fall outside of our current budget including:

  • staffing,
  • teacher training, and
  • space requirements.

Your gift will fill these needs.

Our Three Streams program will address students’ needs so that they can form healthier connections with one another and with the curriculum. Students will learn ways to address and overcome conflicts and social difficulties. These are tools that will serve them well in life and perfectly compliment Urban Prairie’s curriculum and commitment to produce kind, responsible, and respectful citizens.

Thank you for your support.

All gifts are tax-deductible.
