To cherish what remains of it and to foster its renewal is our only legitimate hope for survival."
Wendell Berry
"Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect."
Chief Seattle, 1855
"We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect."
Aldo Leopold
"In every deliberation, we must consider the impact on the seventh generation....even if it requires having skin as thick as a bark of a pine."

  • manage, minimize, and eliminate, whenever possible, the use of harmful materials.
  • use renewable resources and conserve non-renewable resources through efficient utilization and planning.
  • minimize generation of waste through reduction, reuse, and recycling programs
  • conserve and improve efficiency of energy, utilities and water usage, and make efforts to use and promote safe, cost-effective, sustainable energy sources.
  • ensure the health and safety of our community by reducing exposure, using safer technologies, healthier food and water
  • provide environmental sustainability education and resources to our school community to support our principles.
  • develop and enforce policies to support our environmental principles as necessary.
